These natural sunstone specimens were mined in India. They have occasional grains of fiery orange sunstone intergrown with gray feldspar (see the inset close-up photo at left). The sunstone grains display flashes of beautiful pink-orange and gold iridescence at different angles. The best way to see the iridescence is to wet the material and view it under sunlight (or polish it!). These make great specimens of natural untreated sunstone just as they are, although they are also suitable as lapidary rough to make commercial grade sunstone cabochons, carvings, etc...We have these natural sunstone mineral specimens available in several sizes, please see below to order.
